Bold Mascara Campaign
As a still life photographer, it’s essential to incorporate client work into my repertoire, but it’s just as crucial to create regular portfolio work. These shoots show exactly what I can do, they fill gaps in my portfolio, and I can use the work to pitch to dream clients!
For this specific campaign idea, I was inspired by a night out on the town with bright lights, dark backgrounds, and lots of movement. I instantly saw blue and neon yellow as the set colors in my mind, and set out to find the perfect night-on-the-town product for this scene. Milk Makeup to the rescue! Their Rise Mascara stepped up and became the hero of a bold, energetic and urban campaign. Its graphic packaging with its strong linear design and bold color contrast came together to highlight a classic primary color scheme that really secured the cityscape feeling.
Using city blocks and skyscrapers as my inspiration, I mapped out multiple images focusing on layers and depth and got to work! I had so much fun creating these images and balancing all the contrasting textures and rich colors.
